About Miss Lucy: Miss Lucy has been DJ’ing for about 5 years now. Since conception Lucy seemed to be destined for a career in music. Her Mother and Aunt were both DJ’s in London and her Father was the lead singer of the London based Pop Rock group Little Bo Bitch. Her Aunt, DJ Tamsin, is a big influence as Lucy’s first experience with DJ’ing was on her turntables in her basement studio in East London. Lucy was a natural on the decks, she felt at home and at home she was.
Since starting her journey through the DJ world, Miss Lucy has delved into many genres including, Breakbeat, DnB, Electro and more currently, Deep House, Disco and Techno. Lucy also dabbles in Funk, Soul and old school Hip Hop. Having experience and love for so many genres, Miss Lucy has acquired quite a well-rounded taste in music and it shows in her DJ sets. Lucy likes to keep it underground; she stays far away from anything popular, trying always to discover new sounds and styles. Miss Lucy is a forward thinking DJ who still has respect for the history and origins of house music, her influences stem from classic Chicago House and Detroit Techno.
Lucy is constantly working on expanding her mind and musical knowledge while sharing her tastes with the world through her blog, http://misslucyisadj.tumblr.com/, which is dedicated to the promotion of underground music. She also puts out her own podcast on Soundcloud, the “Miss Lucy goes deep” sessions.
